“Notice of Copyright Infringement”

Guidelines for copyright notification

Canvelop respects the intellectual property rights of others. We address copyright infringement complaints in accordance with applicable laws. After receiving a valid notice, we may remove or restrict access to the allegedly infringing material and take appropriate actions (including restricting accounts for repeat infringement). We will make reasonable efforts to contact the person who posted the content before taking action where appropriate.

To be valid, a copyright infringement notification must include:

  1. The submitter's electronic or handwritten signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works).
  3. Identification of the allegedly infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to allow us to locate it (e.g., URL, screenshot, design ID, username).
  4. Contact information for the complaining party (address, phone number, and email address if available).
  5. A statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

If any of the above requirements are missing, the notice may be invalid or delayed for processing.

What content can be reported?

Canvelop may host different types of content, including (a) user-created designs/projects made in the Canvelop editor, (b) templates and design assets available inside the editor, and (c) files uploaded by users (such as images).

If you are reporting infringement, please specify whether the issue relates to a design/project, a template, an uploaded file, or something else, so we can route the request correctly.

Using Canvelop content in your designs

In most cases, you can use Canvelop templates, fonts, shapes, backgrounds, and other editor elements to create original designs for personal and commercial use.

Important: avoid using any single asset as “standalone” content (for example, downloading and reusing a single photo/graphic by itself with little to no modification). Standalone use can be restricted—especially for resale, redistribution, or merchandise.

When in doubt, use multiple elements and meaningful edits in the Canvelop editor (layout, typography, colors, added text, multiple assets) to create a new, original composition.

Selling designs vs. selling templates

You can generally sell or share your finished exports (such as PNG/JPG/PDF files) that you create in the Canvelop editor, as long as you follow these guidelines and your content does not infringe third-party rights.

You may not repackage and redistribute Canvelop templates or Canvelop-provided assets as templates for use outside Canvelop, or resell them as-is (or with minimal edits). If you want to distribute templates, they should be created to be edited by customers inside Canvelop.

Trademarks and logos

Trademarks and logos should be distinctive brand identifiers. Because other users may access the same Canvelop assets, you generally should not use Canvelop library content as the sole basis for a trademark or logo where exclusive rights are required.

If you need exclusive rights in a logo, we recommend using custom typography and original artwork (or uploading your own brand assets) rather than relying on shared stock graphics.

If you want to create a distinctive logo, you can:

  1. Use fonts and typography creatively.
  2. Use simple shapes and custom compositions.
  3. Upload your own original graphics or commissioned artwork.

Licences and access (Free vs. Premium)

When you use Canvelop content in a design, Canvelop grants you a licence to use that content as part of your design, subject to the applicable plan and these guidelines. Free content is licensed for use at no charge. Premium/pro content may require an active subscription or purchase depending on the item.

Your ability to download/export certain assets or templates may depend on your plan. If you are unsure whether something is permitted, please contact us.

Counter-notification (if you believe the claim is incorrect)

If your content was removed or restricted and you believe it was a mistake, you may contact us at contact@canvelop.com with a clear explanation and any supporting information. We may request additional details to evaluate the dispute in accordance with applicable laws.

Reporting abuse

Abusive or harmful content is not tolerated on Canvelop. If you discover abusive content or files, please email us at contact@canvelop.com with a concise summary and any relevant details.
